This video is a short clip describing an upcoming video I'm currently editing, regarding flashing Smart Wifi plugs using Tuya Convert. This removes the Tuya Cloud (Tuya Smart, Smart Life etc.) from the switches, allowing you to use these locally in, for instance, Home Assistant without needing internet access. The plugs featured have energy monitoring, and the data can be used in Home Assistant.

Tuya Convert will work with a Raspberry Pi, but if you're running this on a PC or through Proxmox or VMWare you may need a Wifi dongle that supports AP Mode. The following dongle has been known to work:
