In 2021, Switzerland celebrates 50 years of women’s suffrage. On this occasion, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver invited for a panel discussion to look at the history of women's suffrage in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada and the province of British Columbia. The panelists also discussed the role of women in diplomacy and what measures need to be taken today and in the future to encourage young women to pursue a career in diplomacy.
