What is the opposite of truth--is it the lie? or belief? And what is the enemy of truth--the lie? or the myth, aka the narrative?

It is ironic--or is it expected--in the Digital Information Age that more people are ignorant--as Ronald Reagan put it, "It is not that they don't know, but that they know so much that isn't."

Can a country's institutions function if vast segments of its citizens--including its leaders--cling to--worse, the norm-setters peddle--fallacies, falsehoods and delusions?
.
Foremost of which is that Utopian ideologies which have repeatedly and consistently failed in the past deserve one more try--that all those previous attempts were "not the real things". Or even "consensus" alarmist beliefs of the past two decades being the complete opposite of equally-alarmist beliefs of the decades before that--yet everyone demands compliance with official orthodoxy.

RELEVANCE TO THE HERALD INSTITUTE: If there is something unique about the challenge of fixing Broken Countries, it is the universality among its citizens--from its least-educated and least-intelligent to its supposedly-best educated and supposedly-most intelligent--of beliefs which fall flat in the face of even cursory examination of facts. Which makes argument futile.

Thus--again--there is no point in attempting to dissuade tens~hundreds of millions of citizens--the only feasible, effective and sustainable way to fix a warped and rotten paradigm is to replace it in its entirety. Which can be done only by purposefully raising the norm-setters among future generations--those countries' future Statesmen.
