How high do you need to lift a load?
Only as high as it needs to be to get it where it needs to go. If you are moving your load ten feet to the right and there are no obstacles in your way, do you need to lift it head high? No. Just lift it off the ground. Only lift it as high as it needs to be so you can safely move it where it needs to go.
If there is a ten-foot-tall obstacle, then it may be necessary to lift your load 11 feet to safely clear it, but lifting your load 11 feet in the air when there is no reason to can create unnecessary risk.
