France, despite being relatively small, spans an impressive 12 time zones, thanks to its numerous overseas territories. This includes regions from the tropical islands off the Pacific to the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.
Moving on, we have a country that spans only 313 square miles but is in 4 different hemispheres. You see, the equator, at 0° latitude, divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, while the prime meridian, at 0° longitude, separates the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. These two lines intersect here, where Kiribati is located, the only country residing in all 4 hemispheres.
Lastly, you won’t believe that Spain and Morocco share the shortest border in the world, despite being separated by the Strait of Gibraltar.
You see, Spain still owns a few small pieces of land on the Moroccan coast, and if we zoom in closer, you'll see this rock guarded by a couple dozen Spanish soldiers. This right here, is the shortest border in the world.
