Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister Patrick Gorman has commented on Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe protesting King Charles’ visit to Australia.
“People will see that and think that probably wasn’t the appropriate way for anyone, let alone a senator, to conduct themselves during an official visit such as this,” Mr Gorman told Sky News Australia.
“We’re better than that, it’s not the way you put your message across.
“This is a really joyful day for people, we’ve just seen for people here in Canberra out welcoming their majesty.”
