This is not a review of the Olight Javelot Tac but I will say, you can’t beat it for the price point. Their are plenty of other reviews on its performance and you’re encouraged to watch those.
I wasn’t fond of the provided switch mount, it didn’t line up with my rail, but yours might be different. Be that as it may, I still did not like the quality of it.
I know the Cloud LCS has an integrated wire management system but unfortunately the Olights pressure switch cabling was too thick to use it. I considered increasing the channel with a Dremel but it would compromise the integrity of the mount, which is counterintuitive.
I also did not like the included light mount, it felt cheap, prone to failure and by design the light was far away from the rifle hand guard. You want the light to be as flush to the hand guard as possible. This is why I chose the Arisaka mount. It’s extremely rigid and brings the light almost all the way in. If you do just one thing, it should definitely be swapping to the Arisaka mount.
Hope this video can offer some insight on how to better plan mounting one on your rifle.
