In this video, I've tried to help you get started with using the main tools and features provided on n-Track Studio, an app that I've relied on to record and edit my songs at home on my phone!
1. In order to start recording, the first thing you need to do is create a new block/ blank track. To do so, click on the add track icon and say add audio track. This will create a new block or a new section where you can record your vocals. You must note that when you add multiple tracks, you must arm the block that is in use. Now you can simply click on the record button and start recording your song. To listen to a section of your recording on loop, select the section by dragging your finger across the timeline and tap on the loop icon.
2. To further edit your vocals, select the section of track and long press. This gives rise to a set of options for you to clear, copy, cut, paste, splice, delete amongst others.
3. You can record multiple instruments or your own vocals to this track by adding multiple tracks, just make sure the track in use is armed. If you have a karaoke or an instrumental that's saved on your phone, tap on the menu icon at the bottom right and tap on import audio. You will now have your karaoke track imported. Now create a new blank track to record your audio.
4. To add effects to your vocals, click on 'add efx'. It will display a bunch of effects that you can use. I usually go for a soft reverb and tube distortion for my covers as the app has an in-built reverb which is what makes it so amazing, you don't really have to invest in expensive mics if you're a beginner.
5. The volume of every individual track can be controlled by using the knob on the track bar. Furthermore, the track bar also consists of Mute icon which means it mutes that particular track, The solo track icon that mutes the rest of the tracks, the live input icon that lets you listen to what you're recording.
6. The application provides a set of widgets on the wave form for easy access. Tap and drag from the upper corners to fade in or fade out. Tap and drag in from the middle to lengthen or trim a track.
7. In order to save your file, click on this share icon on the bottom right corner and save song. You need to purchase the app for 75 rupees/0.99 Euros/0.99 USD in order to save it without a watermark.
I hope this video was helpful. Share this amazing app with your friends and family and help them create studio quality sound tracks on their mobile phones. Do let me know in the comments section below if you have any questions. Follow and subscribe to my channel for more such videos. :))
