British Movietone News shows the Battle of Walcheren in November 1944. As part of Operation Infatuate. Under command of the Canadian 1st Army the Schedlt was seized by Novembers end and Antwerp was able to be used without hindrance. The shots shows mostly the Royal Marine commandos as well as the 52nd Lowland Division British army troops as they head towards Flushing. Troops trained in mountain warfare and then being used on the flats! Such is war!
