We camped between stages at the village of Ambialet in the Tarn valley just up from Albi. The campsite opened out over beaches onto the river.

The river does this massive 5km arc in steep sided valley and comes back to within 100 metres of itself, only separated by a thin wall of rock. The village is based on and around this rocky promontory. The main road goes through it and over the river on a lovely old bridge. The village restaurant is at this junction and provides a fantastic view of the countryside around.

I got this mist early in the morning before we set off for the next stage visit.
