The family of the three deceased siblings, who were allegedly poisoned by their father, say they have no idea what led to him giving his children an energy drink, laced with rat poison.
Family members say the Heidelberg father of five, waited for his wife to leave for work before giving his children and the family dog the poisoned drink.
He later tried to take his own life by drinking pills and stabbing himself with a shard of glass.
He is currently recovering in hospital.
