The destruction of the rain forest saw great struggles for the indigenous peoples of South America along with a great decline in herbs, plants and trees used as traditional natural medicines. Thankfully investment and research is now being carried to correct the imbalance and hopefully soon the Amazon rain forest will be restored to its’ former glory.
