July 25, 1956 – Roberto Clemente becomes the first player to hit an inside-the-park walk-off grand slam when he connects off Cubs right-hander Jim Brosnan, giving the Pirates a dramatic 9-8 victory.
Clemente will hit nine career inside-the-park home runs, with seven (including his first home run as a professional) coming at the spacious Forbes Field.
