A team of researchers in Singapore have developed an electronic microchip that can identify 70,000 different viruses and bacteria at once.
The simple and relatively cheap DNA test is expected to revolutionize the treatment of illnesses and save hospitals around the world millions of dollars.
It will also allow doctors to diagnose earlier and administer the right treatment in a timely manner, ensuring a shorter patient stay.
