This is the inspirational story of three young entertainers, Mbugua Gachie popularly known as ‘Bobo’, Kevin Githendu and his younger brother James Wachira popularly known as ‘Waash’. At the ages of 27, 25 and 21 respectively, they are well sought after dancers. Mbugua and Kevin started Art in Motion Dance Company in 2015 as soon as they finished campus. The duo felt the lack of symmetry in the group and started looking for a third member. That is when they realised that Wachira; Kevin’s younger brother could dance. They hence recruited him to the group.
This is an entertainment feature that aims to show that to succeed in any industry - the skills of leadership (being bosses), entrepreneurship (dance) and digital literacy (use of social media) are universally important. By sharing their journey in dance, how they overcome challenges and empower themselves to succeed, this feature seeks to inspire the youth, that with the right skills and passion, they can be who they want to be. Many young people like to achieve things the easy way, but Art in motion members show that nothing comes easy and hard work is necessary
