Dr. Samuel Lieber is an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Engineering & Technology at New Jersey Institute of Technology. With undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering from NJIT, Sam enjoyed a successful career in the industry. But he always dreamed of one day returning to an educational setting where he could share his experiences and prepare future engineers for careers in the real world.
Today he runs the NJIT Makerspace, a rapid prototyping and collaboration facility where engineers, architects, designers, and scientists can create and test ideas, put theory into practice, and turn ideas into reality. This 21st-century prototyping, manufacturing, and collaborative space allows students, faculty, and industry partners, to build physical systems in a functional and inspirational environment. If you dream it, you can make it at NJIT.
