Karl Heinrich Marx was a German philosopher, economist, historian, sociologist, political theorist, journalist and socialist revolutionary. He was born in Trier, Germany, Marx studied law and philosophy at university. He is most famous for the birth of the political wave called Marxism.
Noam Chomsky was born December 7, 1928. He is an American theoretical linguist whose work from the 1950s revolutionised the field of linguistics by treating language as a human and biologically based cognitive capacity. His works have also contributed greatly to epistemology, particularly the existence of a priori innate knowledge.
