Belzona was called in to fix this shaft in the basement of a building in downtown KC. A bearing had seized up and damaged the shaft, traditional replacement of a shaft in this location in a timely manner could cost upwards of 50k! The Belzona solution was able to save the day at a fraction of the cost! The Belzona solution not only allows for the repair of the shaft to be done in place, but also allows the shaft to be put back into service same day! This is a basic "how to" video showing you the necessary steps to properly repair almost any shaft using Belzona products. The shaft needs to be cleaned and mechanically prepped to ensure proper adhesion, then Belzona product needs to be mixed and applied to the shaft and former. After the former is secured in place and the excess Belzona is wiped away, a brief cure needs to take place depending on ambient temperatures, after which the former is removed and the Belzona is then sanded using emery cloth or sandpaper. The repair is then allowed to cure for any additional time needed to reach its service capacity!
