Antibiotics are becoming ineffective in treating infectious diseases. The world is faced
with the deadly silent pandemic of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), which is being
seen as a cause of huge cumulative damage. Known to heavily impact low- and mid-
dle-income countries, AMR is a threat to global health, food safety, nutrition security,
livelihood and attainment of Sustainable Development Goals. The global and national
response to this crisis needs to be swifter, stronger and scaled up.
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is bringing together over 100 experts from
across the two continents of Africa and Asia at a virtual global workshop to discuss the
future agenda on containing this scourge through the One-Health approach.
