Determining appropriate parameters for including or excluding study participants is challenging and a critical aspect of protocol design. This one hour session, produced by the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Clinical Coordinating Center for CTN members and the public, will acquaint research staff with characteristics of inclusion and exclusion and identify considerations for defining appropriate criteria for study eligibility. Additionally, there will be discussion on application of eligibility criteria in CTN trials.

- Understand implications of eligibility criteria,
- Case study of eligibility criteria in CTN trials.
The target audience includes investigators, lead team members, and other research staff contributing to development and adherence to eligibility criteria for clinical trials.
