(25 Jan 2019) Ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee says President Donald Trump's longtime associate Roger Stone who was arrested as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation has clearly lied about contacts connected to WikiLeaks.
Sen. Mark Warner told reporters Friday, that statements Stone has made to the House Intelligence Committee have "come back to bite him."
He said, "We've seen in some of Mr. Stone's public media attempts here on the Hill. He was willing to use any forum to try to manipulate."
Warner, the ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said "We're trying to continue to find where, how all these pieces fit together. He said this indictment of Stone
enforces "all the more importance that Mr. Mueller's' investigation gets protected."
