When you're feeling burned out at work, often we tend to unplug, say no to things and pull back. Yet this is the very opposite of what we need to do. I learned something from my time in healthcare working with nurses which I have applied to what I call the energy cycle. When we can manage our energy cycle, it actually helps us prevent burnout at work.
