This presentation by serial entrepreneur Zach Smith to Weber State University (WSU) students overviews 10 principles for running a successful crowdfunding campaign. This counsel is based upon Zach’s own experience as both co-founder and C.E.O. of Funded Today, which (at that time) had already helped to raise over $31 million for various projects on Kickstarter and/or Indiegogo. This lecture was given in 2015 on September 8th in Utah as part of WSU’s annual Young Subaru Entrepreneurship Lecture Series, which “is an opportunity to listen to local business owners and entrepreneurers as they detail their successes, failures, and any lessons they’ve learned along the way.” This series is hosted by WSU’s Goddard School of Business & Economics, which is Zach’s alma mater.
