Should you pack modest clothing only?🧳
You’ll see I packed more modest clothes to keep my shoulders and knees covered but, this is not at all mandatory. It is just a bit more respectful and will help you blend in some more as a tourist. Just be sure to do your research on how rural the areas you’re visiting will be.
Clothes I packed:
👗4 short sleeve and 1 long sleeve midi/maxi dresses
👚6 versatile short sleeve tops and 4 fun long sleeve tops
🧍🏼♀️2 cute jumpsuits
👖4 pairs of flowy comfortable pants and 1 super cute skirt
👙2 bikinis and 2 cover ups for pool time
👡1 sandals, 1 boots, 1 sneakers to mix and match
👜2 fanny packs 1 packpack
Essential Egypt Packing Tips:
1. Make sure to pack some travel toilet paper because it is not at all uncommon for there to be zero toilet paper in public bathrooms🧻
2. Make sure you are caught up on all recommended vaccinations and pick up a travelers diarrhea kit before your trip. I know it’s not the most glamorous topic but you would always rather be prepared than not if you get sick in a foreign country.💉💊
3. You’ll also need a crisp $25 cash to purchase your visa on arrival. They won’t accept it if your cash is too bent or marked up.💵
4. Bring some small Egyptian bills with you because tipping will begin immediately!! It is a big part of their culture and you don’t want to be stuck having to give out large Egyptian bills.💰
5. Last but not least don’t forget any of your important travel docs or your passport!!✈️
