Roberto Mancini was unveiled as the new head coach of Saudi Arabia on Monday (28th August) less than a month after resigning from his previous position - head coach of Italy.
He led the Italian side to victory in the 2020 European Championships, but despite a world record run of 37 games unbeaten, they failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Saudi shocked eventual champions Argentina in the 2022 World Cup by beating them 2-1, but ultimately failed to progress from the group.
Mancini's contract with Saudi Arabia is set to run until 2027, with the first game of his tenure against Costa Rica at St James' Park, Newcastle, England on 8th September.
It is one of four friendlies they have before the qualification for the 2026 World Cup begins.
