Hope you enjoy this simple recipes for today, onion and potato recipe. This is a korean side dish (potato banchan) Soy Sauce Braised Potatoes or 감자조림. This is one of the basic and easy banchan recipes. Potato soy sauce recipe

Here are the simple ingredients:
2 Potatoes (cut into cubes)
1 Small Onion (cut into cubes)
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tbsp Green Onion (Optional)
1/2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds (Optional-for Garnish)

Seasoning Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Soy sauce (you can adjust according to your taste)
1 Tbsp Sugar (you can adjust according to your taste)
1 Cup of Water
1 Tbsp Cooking Oil

Procedures:
1. After cutting the potatoes into cubes, soak into the water for a few minutes to removed the starch and drained.
2. Heat the pan and add the cooking oil.
3. Add the potatoes into the pan. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
4. If the potatoes are already translucent, add minced garlic. Let it sit for a few minutes then add water.
5. Add onion, soy sauce and sugar. Then mix together and cover.
6. Let the liquid evaporates for a few minutes until the potato are soft and ready to serve.
