Italian is a phonetic language for the most part, so you basically say the words the same way you write them. There are, however, a few rules to learn that will make you avoid common mistakes.
Lots of people have troubles with the sounds GN and GLI so in this video we'll talk about that and how to easily fix your Italian pronunciation.
The sound GN is the one you make when you say the word LASAGNA. I'm sure most people get it right so it shouldn't be a problem to make that very same sound when you come across other words like OGNI, AGNELLO, BOLOGNA, etc...
The sound GLI is a bit more tricky and as a starting point you might think of the word "million". You need to use tongue and palate to make a soft sound, you'll come across many words that have it in Italian, LUGLIO, FIGLIO, AGLIO, etc.
