I've been making a lot of flavored teas lately since a lot of boba tea shops are closed and the area that I live in now leaves a lot to be desired in terms of good boba tea. One of my favorites (because it's so fast, easy and DELICIOUS) is LYCHEE ICED TEA and I hope you all enjoy the recipe!
Recipe makes 2 servings. (1 can of lychee can make up to 8 servings, so to use the whole can, quadruple the recipe (except for the tea bags - note below) to make a large pitcher of tea that can last a few days)
INGREDIENTS
- canned lychee (open the can, remove the lychee and save all of the syrup)
- 3 bags English Breakfast Tea (if making more servings, use this as a general rule: 1 bag per serving +1 bag, example: 8 servings = 9 bags)
- 1 cup boiling water (for steeping tea)
- 1 cup cold water
- 3 tbs sugar (I like my tea not too sweet so feel free to add more or less depending on your preference)
- topping of choice (boba, lychee jelly, popping boba, basil seeds, diced strawberries, etc)
