Hello everyone 😊, today I want to show you how to make this Hong Kong street food — Steamed Rice Cake with Red Bean (Put Chai Ko) Brown Sugar Flavor & Coconut Flavor **香港懷舊小食- 砵仔糕 (紅糖和椰汁味）This rice cake is a popular snack in Hong Kong. The size is like a palm size and is sweet in taste. It is soft, but can hold its molded shape outside a bowl. The cake is made from white or brown sugar, rice flour with a little wheat starch or cornstarch. Red beans are also added. The batter is poured into porcelain bowls and steamed until cooked through. But I found this Silicone mold on Amazon Is even better, the size is just right and its so easy to remove the rice cake once its done. Then it is let cooled and served at room temperature. Traditionally, In this video, I inserts two bamboo sticks into the cake to turn it out and let my family to hold the sticks to consume. 😊😋
