BUDGET BUILD MUSCLE CAR: we travel to pick up my late brothers 1967 Pontiac Firebird, this Pony Car Barn Find the first generation GM F-Body Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, will be a classic American Muscle Car Build project for sure, can we get this abandoned car to start for the first time?
After waking up at 3am and driving thru Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and into Oklahoma on a nearly 900-mile journey in one day just to try and rescue my brother Keith’s family 1967 Pontiac Firebird in bought back in 1979 in Glendale, Arizona. With four flat tires, a frozen steering box, and no electric wench, this is going to be an all-day job to load the Pontiac Firebird onto the car trailer.
The fun wasn’t over once we had the Pontiac Firebird up on the trailer, no this Pony Car or American Muscle Car project had to then be hauled back 900 miles and 15 hours to Arizona before we could see if this abandoned Pontiac Firebird could be started for the first time in almost 25 years. Just when we thought we were home free, about 100 miles from home we blew a trailer tire caused by a seized up wheel bearing, that started a tire or rubber fire on the trailer.
But as luck would turn out, and my brother Keith watching over us; Johnny from Action Towing out of Globe, Arizona picked us up and brought the 1967 Pontiac Firebird Rescue Project car home. He even helped us loaded the muscle car build project right off and into my garage, so we could get started on seeing if this Firebird first-gen could be it first start in a long long time.
Follow along and subscribe to watch as we rise this Pontiac Firebird back out of the ashes like the city of Phoenix I live in!
