The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition ( AKA Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition ) is Redmi’s first dedicated gaming smartphone. It boasts a good specs sheet along with some serious gaming-phone attributes like physical pop-up gaming triggers, advanced cooling mechanisms & a somewhat ergonomic easy-in-hands design. Oh! There’s RGB lighting too! :D
Interestingly, the Redmi K40 game enhanced edition price tag is also something to be talked about. It is sold in China starting at $300 for the 6GB 128GB base model and that places it around the same price category of the recently released Realme GT Neo which is starting at around that $270 mark. But the K40 gaming edition is arguably better on paper in almost every aspect. GT Neo’s Snapdragon 870 might just challenge it, but overall, the Redmi seems like the better of the two.
Still, there’s no official news about a global release of the device. But just a few of weeks ago we saw the Redmi K40 series going global under different names of Xiaomi and Poco brands. The Redmi K40 got rebranded as Poco F3 & Xiaomi Mi 11X and the Redmi K40 Pro became the Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro, with little to none differences between the respective models.
Now, following the same pattern, this time, the K40 Gaming Edition too WILL launch as Poco F3 GT in India and hopefully, in other countries as well.
