Frying Pan Alley in Spitalfields is one of London's quirkiest street names... yet at one time, the name was very common indeed: in the 18th and 19th centuries, there were at least 18 Frying Pan Alleys dotted throughout London!
In this video, we'll be looking into the origin of the term 'Frying Pan Alley', and I'll also show you the approximate location of six other former Frying Pan Alleys which I've been able to find some evidence of.
