STORYLINE
Three men were sentenced to death by hanging on Wednesday for aiding an attack on India's parliament last year that almost triggered war with Pakistan.
Judge S-N Dhingra sentenced the three Indian citizens to death after finding them guilty of murder and waging war against India.
He said they were inspired by Osama bin Laden and by terrorists in neighbouring Pakistan.
The wife of one of the men was sentenced to five years in prison for failing to report the conspiracy.

After Wednesday's sentencing, outside the court, supporters of a radical Hindu party set off firecrackers in celebration.
For them the death sentence for the three men means a victory against Islamic guerrillas who are waging a campaign to free Kashmir from Indian rule.
0020
The trial followed the attack last December on the Indian parliament in New Delhi.
Five suspected Islamist militants shot dead nine people before security forces killed them.
India accused Pakistan of helping orchestrate the assault, which set the countries on a war footing for 10 months.
0038
The three men sentenced to death on Wednesday, had not actually participated in the attack, but prosecutors said they'd helped plan the assault.
In sentencing the judge said they were "enemies of mankind" and that they "deserved no leniency."
0053
The wife of one of the men was sentenced to five years in prison for failing to alert police about the plot.
0101
The death sentences provoked street protests in the accused's hometowns in Kashmir.
0106
And grief-stricken relatives said they'd appealed to human rights organisations to ensure their loved ones are given a fair trial when they appeal.
