Overtaking on a UK motorway driving lesson [ Ссылка ]...
This video will hopefully be useful if you're about to drive on a motorway for the first time and looking for some motorway tips or visiting from another country and plan on driving in the UK. A lot of drivers have never had any motorways driving lessons.
You're now allowed to take driving lessons on a motorway with a driving instructor in a dual-controlled car but not allowed to privately practice on them.
Here is a full list of who MUST NOT use the motorway:
Pedestrians
Holders of provisional motorcycle or car licences
Riders of motorcycles under 50 cc, cyclists
Horse riders
Certain slow-moving vehicles and those carrying oversized loads (except by special permission)
Agricultural vehicles
Powered wheelchairs/powered mobility scooters.
In this video we have a look at how to overtake safely. Only overtake on a motorway if it's safe and legal. Keep a safe distance from the vehicle that you wish to overtake, at least a two-second gap in dry conditions. It's important that you can overtake without breaking the speed limit or causing another vehicle to slow down or swerve. Check your mirrors and check your blind spot before changing lanes. Signal when it's safe and then gently steer out to the right. Once you've finished overtaking move back to the left lane when it's safe. Check your mirrors, and signal but don't cut in front of the other vehicle that you've overtaken.
This is just a rough guide to overtaking on a motorway. We strongly recommend taking some motorway driving lessons with a professional driving instructor.
