Thousands are expected to stream through airports across the country as they head away for the Christmas period.
At least 115,00 people went through the gates of Melbourne Airport on Friday alone.
Another 100,000 plus are expected on Saturday.
A tech glitch at Melbourne Airport’s international terminal forced Border Force officials to manually screen people through passport control on Friday.
No flights were affected, and the airport announced the problem was fixed at about 10.45 am.
