Creativity is not what you create but how you create what you create. The thing that you create needs to be novel and useful but it is more about the work and the process that you put into it to make it happen. Great creative ideas doesn’t happen in a flash, that is a well known Eureka myth. You don’t come up with a creative idea and a great product all at once. History is witness that it takes countless hours of research, preparation, work, challenges, failed attempts and much more in order to create something amazing Often times when we start a creative project, midway we lose hope or motivation just because it doesn’t feel good what you have created. It was not something that you were expecting. That was not the creative output you were looking for. While these negative thoughts linger around, you need to realize and develop a mindset that it is not about having an amazing creation right from the get go. No, that never happens. Rather it is about believing that the creation that is currently up here in your brain, is going to eventually come to life, once you just put in the work.Thomas Edison didn’t invent the light bulb in his first try. It took him several attempts and a process of trial and error to the final invention that we all most dearly enjoy. Leonardo Da Vinci took longer than a decade to create the amazing masterpiece of Mona Lisa that we all admire to this day. You need to trust the process and keep creating. One attempt after the other. Be persistent in your creative journey and see the magic happen.
Enjoy the creative journey by trusting the process.
