SV pan, Chataway No 142, worried about the big lead of Kuts moves up and runs behind Freddie Green - Briton's are second and third. SV crowd. SV pan, Thelma Hopkins of Belfast doing the high jump. She clears bar, pan as she runs back. SV pan, Miss Balaza of Rumania running up to jump, she knocks back off. SV pan, Thelma Hopkins clearing 5'5 3/4", with an acrobatic leap as she runs back. SV Britons in crowd waving Union Jack. SCU pan, Kuts leading the field in the 5000 metres race by over 100 yards. SCU pan, Zatopek followed by Chataway making a desperate effort to catch up. STV Kuts running up straight to finish on his own. STV Chataway leading Zatopek up the straight. Chataway crosses line several yards ahead of Zatopek. Bannister and another team mate dash over to congratulate Chataway.
