UNDP targets the root causes of poverty. That’s why we work to build back better after a crisis, protect the planet from climate change, resolve conflicts, and empower women and girls to ensure a more sustainable future for all. As we look ahead, we can end extreme poverty for the first time in history. But this is not a job we can do alone. Together with citizens, governments, civil society, businesses, and international partners we can bring about a real and lasting transformation for both people and planet. We’re the first generation with the resources and technology to eliminate poverty, and we’re the last generation that can stop the effects of climate change. Let’s build a better world together.
