Turkey between heavy metal and the military -
Zehra's brother Erol and his Metal music friends hang out in the caves around the ancient volcanic mountain, Karadag. Surrounded by the remnants of some of the oldest human settlements on earth, they drink and philosophize about life. Zehra is home for only a short time, and her father tries hard to be a good host, but thoughts of what once was, and of what might come in the future, strain his every action.
