On 4 May, Latvia celebrates the restoration of its independence. At the beginning of the 1990s, Latvia escaped from the grip of Soviet power and returned to the Western cultural space.
Today, we thank the members of the Supreme Council whose courage and perseverance allowed Latvia to regain independence after 50 years of occupation.
