Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Laos Wednesday, where he will spend the next two days meeting leaders attending a meeting of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The summit is set to take place in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on Thursday and Friday, after which Trudeau will attend the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the U.S. air base in Ramstein, Germany.

The prime minister’s office says Trudeau will be working to boost trade ties between Canada and Southeast Asian countries.,
