Note to viewers:
As you may have noticed, this video is commonly found online on different channels and apps. However, for your information, I am not doing the same as others by copying the video and uploading it onto my channel. I want you to be completely aware that this compilation of sped up animations was compiled by me. I am the original creator of this seven-minute video.
Lately, I have been trying my hardest to get monetized on YouTube. However, every time I tried applying, my application kept getting rejected due to "reused content." I have already asked several times which of my video(s) have reused content. However, my question was never properly answered. Although I didn't get any concrete responses to which of my video(s) have "reused content," I had great reason to believe that it was my video titled "Real Time Sinking Titanic, Lusitania and Britannic Sped Up" (and also my video titled "Real Time Sinking Titanic by Part-Time Explorer Sped Up," but primarily the other one). With over four million views, "Real Time Sinking Titanic, Lusitania and Britannic Sped Up" was the most-viewed video on my channel. It was thanks to this video that over 95% of my subscribers found my channel.
This video was initially uploaded on December 31, 2021. At that time, there was no copyright claim attached to the video. By January 16, 2022, the video surpassed 100,000 views. It was only on February 9, 2022, over a month since the video was first uploaded and over three weeks since the video surpassed 100,000 views, that the video received a copyright claim and a content ID claim (Celine Dion's song "My Heart Will Go On," played between 0:18 to 2:37). Given that a creator cannot replace, trim out or mute parts of a video that has over 100,000 views, I never even have had a chance of replacing the copyright-claimed material.
Because of this poor system, I had no choice but to delete this video from my channel in the hope of finally getting monetized. On July 1, 2024, the videos "Real Time Sinking Titanic by Part-Time Explorer Sped Up" and "Real Time Sinking Titanic, Lusitania and Britannic Sped Up" were made private. On July 10, 2024, the two videos were finally deleted. The latter had over 4.4 million views and over 30k likes at the time it was deleted.
When I applied for the fifth time for YouTube monetization on July 10, 2024, YouTube rejected my application, stating that my channel had "reused content." This caught me by surprise since I had already deleted the two videos (mentioned previously) that didn't rightfully belong to me. On July 12, 2024, I appealed my channel's rejection. The appeal video reviewed the "YouTube channel monetization policies" and explained how my channel respected the rules. The appeal video specifically showed how I created and edited my content.
To say that I was surprised that my video appeal was rejected would be an understatement. YouTube stated that the "appeal didn’t demonstrate enough value-add editing." This is completely bogus since I specifically included how I created and edited my videos. However, with no way of appealing again, I now have to wait three months (October of 2024) to re-apply for YouTube monetization. This means I deleted those two videos for absolutely no reason.
Throughout July of 2024, I noticed that my channel views and algorithm had decreased at an astronomical rate. This is because every day, my video "Real Time Sinking Titanic, Lusitania and Britannic Sped Up" used to get around 3,000 - 4,000 views. With its removal, my channel only gets 200 views per day. My channel's algorithm quickly died, meaning that my videos weren't being recommended anymore. The amount of subscribers I lost this month just because I deleted this brainless video (of which I don't own the animations) was absolutely absurd.
Given I have to wait three months to re-apply for monetization, I got in touch with a Creator Support, asking them to retrieve my two deleted videos. However, they only retrieved one of the two deleted videos: "Real Time Sinking Titanic by Part-Time Explorer Sped Up." They explained that the reason why they couldn't retrieve "Real Time Sinking Titanic, Lusitania and Britannic Sped Up" was because the video had a content ID claim. They informed me that once a video with a content ID claim is deleted, there is nothing they can do to get it back. For this reason, I am reuploading it now on July 31, 2024. Hopefully this will get just as many views and subscribers as the previous one did to revive my channel's algorithm.
As a personal question to you, who took the time to read this, why do like this video so much? Why do you prefer watching a mindless video where I put no effort in over an educational documentary I dedicated days creating?
