We had a nice day in December before my winter ski job started, so I accepted an invitation from one of my kayak fishing buddies to join him at a private reclaimed gravel pit, Lake Freedom, in Carlisle, Ohio. Water temp was 44 and my fish finder didn’t work again so it was a tough bite, but I did get one largemouth bass and Michael caught 4 different species of fish! Blade baits were the lure that produced the most today.
This day was full of revelations and epiphanies for me, and I'm really happy with the fact that I'm finally figuring out how to get better at fishing (hint: it isn't fishing alone all the time!).
