Day 2 of our first trip taking out our Toyota Previa Camper (soon to be built-out) for some vanlifing adventures along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway just southwest of Bend Oregon.

We wake up next to Davis Lake at Lava Flow Campground to have a chill and relaxed morning before heading out on the Cascade Scenic Byway for some more driving!

The Cascade Lakes area around Bend Oregon is absolutely stunning. It's hard not to find a great spot to picnic.

We found a day-use area called Mile Campground (no longer an actual campground--can't stay overnight, unfortunately) to have lunch and a quick dip in the Deschutes River before heading off to find a spot to camp for the night.

Finally, we found a lovely spot along a forest service road next to Sparks Lake before entering the no overnight parking day-use area. Our spot was phenomenal and can't wait to get back here for more camping in the future!

We can't recommend it enough, to having your own experience of some Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway camping! The lakes, the forest, the drives, the nature, the mountains, and the stars are just so stunning!
