I had to send this document in this morning. Figured I'd share it with everyone so they know what its about. Either place you're entire MMC on continuity till you can/want to sail again, or place specific credentials on continuity because you don't have the qualifying documentation at the time of a renewal. All this does is put the specified credentials on hold until you can provide the qualifying documents. For me I need 5 loads and 5 discharges on a Tanker. IF I was able to get on a tanker in this last 2 months of my "about to expire" MMC and get my 5 loads/discharges I could then send that proof into the Coast Guard and my Tankerman assistant LG/DL would then still be valid on my new MMC credentials. If I don't get on a tanker in the next 2 months ill need to re-take the Tankerman assistant class and provide the new certification.
