A meeting for civil societies hosted by the British High commission in Eldoret ended prematurely when a Deputy Governor stormed the venue and ordered the organizers to leave. Uasin Gishu deputy governor Daniel Chemno accused the British officials of breaching diplomatic protocol by not notifying the county government of the meeting. The incident occurred amid disagreements between Kenya and Britain fuelled by the differing standpoints on ICC trials facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
