Marc shows his installation of the Revolution Sonar live sonar aiming system to his Lowrance Ghost trolling motor. Although his effort was interrupted by relentless rain, Marc got it done shortly after receiving his unit. Marc’s installation is with dual Active Target 2 units with one in the Scout view and one in the Forward/Down view. The brackets are zero-degree which improves the image and geometry with many more adjustment capabilities over stock mounts.
Revolution Sonar is a unique forward facing sonar aiming system made in the USA (all but a couple minor parts) and machined from solid billet aluminum for crazy precision, strength, and light weight. This patented aiming system is coaxially mounted to the shaft of the trolling motor, and only weighs approximately 3 pounds. It operates independent of the trolling motor providing full range of aiming while in anchor mode. When desired, it will also mirror the trolling motor. You can scan any width you like, lock it on a target, set it to view and scan a waypoint, and much more. The 18-rpm motor is the fastest on the market. The foot control is machined from aluminum and bullet-proof clear plastic with color LED position lights.
You will be amazed at the strength, precision, and ingenuity of the design. All parts are protected with cerakote finish. All the problems inherent with other turrets are eliminated.
