Daang Kalikasan in Mangatarem, Pangasinan is one of the most scenic roads in the Philippines.
The 14.6-kilometer road linking Mangatarem, Pangasinan and Sta. Cruz, Zambales is expected to be completed by 2021 according to DPWH. The road once completed will hasten the travel time between the two provinces of Pangasinan and Zambales. Additional benefits of this development are the promotions of trade and tourism of the provinces.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Daang Kalikasan was temporarily closed to public by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) until the project is completed. This was due to overcrowding and a number of accidents reported in the past weeks. Another reason for its closure is the uncontrollable trash being left by the tourists resulting to clean-up operations by LGU.
