more thoughts and my pick for cold weather shoes 👇🏼
The shoes shown in this video are the @Teva Footwear Midform Universal and the @Altrarunning Lone Peak Hiker 2.
I’m currently prepping for another multi month backpacking trip and will be bringing both of these brands as my only shoes. The only difference is that I ✨might✨bring my Teva Original Universal Sandal over the Teva Midform Universal. I wear both all the time and the only difference is platform height. They’re both incredibly comfortable, I hike in both of them, and they’ve never given me blisters.
The Altra’s still have a lot more wear left in them, so I’ll be bringing those on my next trip as well! When I had bought these I was looking for a lightweight hiking shoe with a wide toe box and zero drop. These were my first pair of zero drop shoes, so my legs and feet needed a little bit of time to get used to the lack of arch support. Since then, I’ve noticed the best changes in how my legs feel after long miles and I’ll never go back to regular hiking boots. I have the mens pair since I liked the color better but I just picked my respective size ☺️
For cold weather travel, I wear my @Blundstone Original High Tops over the sandals! Another amazing shoe that makes my feet feel great after miles and miles of walking.
