Day 3- First Port- Nassau
For anyone that knows us, you know that Nassau is not a port that we get off the ship every time we visit. The port is fine and the much anticipated redevelopment should make it better. We just usually treat that day as a "sea day" and take advantage of all the ship has to offer with minimal crowds while most are off the ship.
We started off the day with a light breakfast at the lido Buffett. The girls then wanted to spend the rest of the morning swimming in the main pool with dips in the hot tub in between. Pool side lunch at the Blue Iguana Burrito Bar. As the morning turned to afternoon Carrie and Mylan had another reservation to ride Bolt. This time it actually happened. $15 per person for 2 trips around. After they finished their ride the girls and I enjoyed the waterworks area. We did the slides and stood under the large dump bucket. All the activity got our appetite going again and we headed in to the pizza and sandwiches for an afternoon snack.
Mia wanted to go back to camp this evening but Mylan wanted to go to dinner with us. After Mia grabbed some food in the Buffett we dropped her off at camp and headed for a pre dinner drink and some live music. Dinner tonight is in Cucina del Capitano, the Italian restaurant. Gluten free was a complete let down. Hardly any options. We even inquired ahead of time but they didn't live up to expectations.
Tomorrow is a Sea Day
